Information shows that Hanbo High-tech is a one-stop comprehensive solution provider for backlight display modules, important components of semiconductor display panels. Its main products are backlight display modules, backlight display module components and polarizers used in the manufacturing of liquid crystal display panels. It has been listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange GEM on August 18 this year.
It is reported that Hanbo High-tech has been investing in Chongqing since 2014, and has successively established Chongqing Hanbo Display Technology Co., Ltd., Chongqing Hanbo Display Technology R&D Center Co., Ltd. and other subsidiaries.
In March 2021, Hanbo High-tech announced a change in the investment project of part of the raised funds, raising 578 million yuan to build a backlight module and R&D center project, of which 300 million yuan was invested in the backlight module project, and the implementation entity is Chongqing Hanbo Display Technology Co., Ltd.
The project plans to build 10 backlight module production lines (including Mini LED backlight display modules). The planned annual production capacity of backlight modules is 34.3KK. Construction has been successfully started in March 2021. In August of the same year, it was announced that the first product of the project would be lit.
In terms of customers, Hanbo High-Tech has established cooperative relationships with semiconductor display panel manufacturers such as BOE, Innolux, CSOT, Shentianma, and Huike. The end customers of its products cover consumer electronics companies such as Huawei, Lenovo, HP, Dell, Asus, and Xiaomi, as well as OEMs such as FAW and BYD.
In terms of products, Hanbo High-tech developed a 6.5-inch automotive Mini LED product in 2019; the 15.6-inch Mini LED backlight display module entered the mass production stage in August 2021; in addition, Hanbo High-tech also successfully developed and designed 15.6-inch and 12.8-inch Mini LED backlights.
In terms of technology, Hanbo High-tech has accumulated a number of core technologies including "Mini LED backlight design", "Mini LED solid crystal technology", "mask precision regeneration", "mask production", "chemical liquid development" and "fusion spray technology".
Thanks to the forward-looking layout of the backlight business, Hanbo High-tech achieved operating income of 2.38 billion yuan, 2.466 billion yuan and 2.905 billion yuan respectively from 2019 to 2021. The operating income showed a growth trend; net profits were 135 million yuan, 173 million yuan and 151 million yuan respectively.
In the first half of this year, Hanbo High-tech is expected to achieve operating income of 1.38-1.39 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.86%-4.61%; it is expected to achieve a net profit of 33-40 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 41.8%-51.98%.
