NVC Lighting said that on August 19, Wu Changjiang’s brother Wu Changyong asked his staff at the NVC headquarters in Chongqing, China, to refuse to accept orders from operators, because NVC Lighting’s operator orders were transferred through the order management system, which resulted in large-scale shortages by operators. At the same time, Wu Changyong also instructed the marketing department staff to forcibly remove the computer hard drive to destroy the system and destroy data.
In view of this, NVC Lighting announced that it would suspend the operations of the Chongqing company, establish a temporary headquarters in Huizhou, and declare that the company has entered a state of emergency. The emergency management committee headed by Wang Donglei will exercise the company's rights on behalf of the board of directors.
Relevant media reported that in 2013, Wu Changjiang and his brother Wu Changyong invested 1 billion yuan to establish the "Hualong Yingke" LED lighting production base in Tongliang, Chongqing. Tongliang is the birthplace of Wu Changjiang, and many of his relatives and cronies naturally joined the management of Hualong Yingke.
According to people familiar with NVC, Hualong Yingke, as a "production source", sells products purchased from several manufacturers to NVC at a markup of 5%-37%, becoming NVC's largest supplier, and obtains high profits through such related transactions.
It is reported that on August 8, when the board of directors dismissed Wu Changjiang, it also dismissed vice presidents Wu Changyong, Mu Yu and Wang Minghua. This also led to the rapid intensification of conflicts between Wu Changjiang and Wang Donglei, the employer.
