Panasonic releases its first Mini LED backlit TV

According to news on May 12, Panasonic released its flagship LCD TV MX950 series in Japan today. The MX950 is Panasonic's first product equipped with Mini LED backlight technology. With the newly designed quantum dot backlight film, it can display a wider color gamut. Available in 75", 65" and 55".

In terms of audio, the MX950 uses a 3-array speaker design with a maximum output power of 50W. At the same time, the MX950 is equipped with an independent audio processing circuit and supports Dolby Atmos and 3.1 channel surround sound field.

In terms of screen, the MX950 is Panasonic's first product to use Mini LED backlight, which is brighter than the previous generation product. Panasonic claims that Mini LED greatly improves the contrast and light control capabilities of LCD TVs.

MX950 is equipped with a full-blooded HDMI 2.1 interface, supports VRR, NVIDIA G-SYNC, NVIDIA SPD game mode, AMD FreeSYNC Premium technology, and can be used to connect to PS5 and Xbox game consoles to achieve 4K 120Hz Image transfer.

IT House checked the technical documentation and learned that Panasonic MX950 supports multiple HDR formats, including Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, Filmmaker Mode, HLG, etc. In addition, the TV supports HDR10+ The advanced adaptive function automatically optimizes the picture according to the ambient lighting conditions. MX950 is equipped with the latest Android TV system and supports voice control through Google Assistant.

The MX950 series will be officially launched on July 21, and 3,000 units are expected to be produced per month.
