Samsung provides world’s first 481-foot rooftop LED display for F1 car

On November 20, Samsung announced in a press release that it had provided the world's first 481-foot LED signage system for the US Formula One (F1) Las Vegas Grand Prix.

As can be seen in the picture, Samsung installed an LED sign in the shape of the F1 logo on the roof of the 1,000-foot-long F1 racing circuit building.

According to reports, at the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix The 10mm Samsung LED display has over 22 million pixels, spans wider than a football field, and has a maximum brightness of over 8,000 nits.

Samsung provided the system with a total of 25,000 LED modules, which when combined are enough to circle the Las Vegas Strip racetrack two and a half times. “Through our partnership, we are leveraging the innovative technology that Samsung brings to the Las Vegas Strip circuit to achieve this goal,” said Renee Wilm, CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix Corporation.
