TCL CSOT takes the lead in establishing new display industry intellectual property and standards alliance
On May 13, the founding meeting of the Shenzhen New Display Industry Intellectual Property and Standards Alliance, led by TCL CSOT, was grandly held in Shenzhen. Hundreds of industry guests witnessed the event, and more than 30 leading companies in the display industry, including TCL CSOT, became the first members.
Shenzhen New Display Industry Intellectual Property and Standards Alliance SDSA [Shenzhen Display Standard Alliance] is a professional organization jointly initiated and established by the Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association, TCL Huaxing, leading industry enterprises and experts, in order to promote the construction of intellectual property rights and standards in the new display industry. It aims to serve as a platform to integrate government, industry, academia, research and corporate resources to promote the development of Shenzhen's new display industry. Dr. Huang Weidong, head of the alliance preparatory group & TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on the alliance preparation report and said that the alliance will work around attaching importance to intellectual property rights and demonstrating the core competitiveness of new display companies. Intellectual property rights and standards are important supports for the core competitiveness of enterprises., has now become an important means for technology companies and large groups in various countries to occupy the market. As Shenzhen's new display industry develops and becomes stronger, the role of intellectual property rights and standards has become increasingly prominent, resulting in frequent trade frictions. Therefore, the "Shenzhen New Display Industry Intellectual Property and Standards Alliance" jointly initiated by the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association, TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. and other units came into being.
Wu Mingzhou, deputy general manager of TCL CSOT Display Technology Innovation Center, also believes that display technology presents a diversified development context, and the continuous innovation of display technology will bring about industrial progress and prosperity; the continuous accumulation of intellectual property rights can protect technological innovation and be in a favorable position in technological disputes; the standardization of intellectual property rights can fully reflect the value of intellectual property rights; a platform is needed to organize and coordinate matters of common concern to the industry.
At the same time, the conference held elections for the chairman, vice chairman, members and secretary-general of the alliance. The alliance plans to have Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association as the secretariat unit; TCL Huaxing as the chairman unit; Jiang Fengyi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice president of Nanchang University, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of SciencesResearcher Chen Lianghui serves as the alliance's consultant; Wen Xiaojun, director of the Electronic Information Research Institute of the China Electronics Information Industry Development Institute and secretary-general of the China Ultra-HD Video Industry Alliance, Guan Baiyu, secretary-general of the China Semiconductor Lighting/LED Industry and Application Alliance, and Qian Keyuan, professor of Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School, serve as alliance experts. It has three departments: Intellectual Property Department, Technical Standards Department and Member Cooperation Department to work together. The establishment of the alliance will help guide Shenzhen's new display companies, universities, and scientific research institutions to integrate resources and give full play to their overall advantages in standard development, technological innovation, and creation of independent intellectual property rights. It will help improve the core competitiveness of Shenzhen's new display companies and gain a favorable position in domestic and foreign market competition.
