National standard for led lighting

Time:2021-06-10

In recent years, LED lamps have gradually replaced ordinary fluorescent lamps and become the main lighting tools in daily life. Compared with ordinary fluorescent lamps, the biggest advantage of LED lamps is energy saving and environmental protection. Although its price is higher, it consumes less energy. At the same time, the LED lamp has a longer life span and does not need to be replaced for a long period of time. In terms of environmental protection, LED lights are also very environmentally friendly. There are many strict standards for lighting countries. If a company wants to enter the lighting industry, the first thing to do is to understand these national standards. Then what national lighting standards are there?

Safety standards for led lighting

Luminaires with integral LEDs or LED modules should be assessed for blue light hazards in accordance with IEC/TR 62778.

For children's portable lamps and night lights, the blue light hazard level measured at a distance of 200mm shall not exceed RG1.

For portable lamps and portable lamps, if the blue light hazard level measured at a distance of 200mm exceeds RG1, the symbol "Don't stare at the light source" needs to be marked on the outside of the lamp, as shown in the figure below. At the same time, the location of the symbol should be able to prevent the user from seeing the light source while seeing the symbol. According to the above requirements, companies should not mark the symbol on the mounting surface or light-emitting surface of, for example, LED desk lamps.

For fixed luminaires, if the blue light hazard level measured at a distance of 200mm exceeds RG1, it is necessary to determine the critical distance when the luminaire is just at RG1 through experiments. The manufacturer should give the distance value in the product manual to provide a reference for the lighting designer and construction party.

As a necessary tool in our daily life, lighting fixtures have very high requirements for quality. What's more, the quality of lighting fixtures can also affect eyesight. Therefore, lighting manufacturers must understand the national standards before producing products and produce products that meet the standards. For customers, they must choose lamps that meet national standards in order to ensure quality and safety.
